In this exhibition, I use the tension between blue and orange—complementary yet opposing—to distinguish between the creatures of the sea and those of the land. By giving presence to those perceived only as raw materials, I wish to remind us that they are all worthy of respect and deserve to live with dignity.
I chose to spotlight ‘Transparent Animals’—those seen not as companions, but merely as food. These works invite reflection on our responsibility toward beings often pushed to the fringes of our consciousness.
The inspiration was born on a Mediterranean boat trip. A fisherman showed us a fish with a translucent belly, filled with plastic fragments. He warned: 'The plastic you throw into the sea finds its way back to your plate.' This image sparked the central metaphor of my work: Transparency.
